What does EBEC mean to you?
European BEST Engineering Competition. It houses the opportunity for every European student to grow exponentially above others. A competition of such a magnitude that everyone comes out of it different from how we got in. A competition where engineers marvel stakeholders with ideas that are flexible, lean and modern.
When you look back at event, what are you most proud of?
People. Organisers working non-stop to provide the best of what BEST has to offer and doing so with a smile, infecting everyone with our spirit. Participants working non-stop, against the clock, and pushing themselves to the limits; thinking outside of the box; making new friends and getting to know a lot of different cultures.
How did organizing EBEC Final helped your personal development?
It’s funny when something that scares you falls on your lap and lets you understand and get to know yourself so much that you cannot believe on how much you grow when it’s over. Management. Leadership. Failure. All of the skills that one would only learn at high positions were given to me by this opportunity; and I was taught to fail often and fail fast; learn and yield, manage and lead for a better future designed by me.
What is the most important thing you learned during the organization of EBEC Final?
Human Relations can move the world. Knowledge can be taught. Experience can be gained. But attitude, character and personality gives us the power to do our job better than anything, which, coupled with others, will empower us to do more and be better.
